Here we are!
We have arrived.
It’s . . .
October ❤️🎃.
I’m a huge fan of this time of year, and even more so this year.
❤️ For starters, our good friends over at Story Republic, including former guests Dave Lewis, Sabah Mirza, Michelle Spencer, Rumi Tsuchihashi, and Bernadette Jiwa have been working on something really special.
Over the better part of the last year, this global community ventured deep into the question “What is love?” and emerged the other side with a riveting collection of short personal stories on the topic.
There are tales about love for partners, friends, parents, kids, animals, gardens, special places, and are told from the heart.
If you’ve been wanting to broaden your horizons around the idea of love for the sake of your songwriting, and your humanity, I highly recommend taking in this book, which is due to release next week on Oct. 7th!
Very exciting times!
I spoke more about this on today’s podcast, and you can have a listen by clicking or tapping on the globe of awesome storytellers below 🌏:
Songwriting Inspirations:
*As a songwriter, storyteller, or creative, how might you answer the question - What is love?
🎃 The second bit of fun news is that we are getting closer to a Write Songs You Love annual favourite episode . . .
The notorious interview, with Death!
We have been fortunate over the last few years to have had Death come on the podcast to share about their recent musical pursuits, and to answer questions from the Write Songs You Love Community.
With that said, the question submission period is now open, and Death will be back in studio answering them live . . . or dead . . . on the upcoming October 31st episode.
To submit, you can reply to this post with your question(s), or send them over in the Facebook group.
If you’ve never heard how these interviews go, have a listen to the very first interview we had with Death here. It’s a doozy!!
Alright, I think that does it!
Thank you for taking the time to be here, and for writing the songs you write.
Particularly the ones you love ❤️.
