Do I know you?
Ever have a moment that makes you remember a song you haven’t played in years, or never play at all anymore?
It can be like reconnecting with an old friend from school you haven’t seen in years, or even decades . . . but perhaps their face have changed a bit. They don’t sound quite the same.
“Do I know you?”
As with relationships, we can drift from songs over time.
Sometimes it’s because we’ve grown into a different person, and might not feel a connection anymore.
Sometimes we just forget we have certain songs, either because we haven’t had the need to play them enough, and they fade into the distance.
However the path of your old songs has gone, have you ever thought of going back to check on them and see how they’re doing?
I put myself through this experience in the last week, and shared about it on the podcast today. It was surprising to say the least.
Have a listen by tapping or clicking on the road of forgotten songs . . .
I invite you to give this a go.
*Go back to one or a few of your first or earliest songs, and give’em a play.
Not just listening to a voice memo or recording though.
Sit down, or stand up, and physically play them.
I’m guessing there was something you loved about them in the past. Perhaps there’s a chance to rekindle your relationship.
Maybe something sweet waiting for you - An old song you forgot how much you loved ❤️.
